A festive Holi celebration in Delhi’s Uttam Nagar area turned tragic after a dispute between two families escalated into violence, resulting in the death of a 26-year-old man identified as Tarun. According to police reports, the conflict reportedly began after a water balloon accidentally hit a woman, which triggered an argument between members of the two families. The situation soon intensified, leading to a physical confrontation during which the young man was seriously injured.
Authorities said the victim later succumbed to his injuries, while police launched an investigation into the incident. Several suspects, including a minor, have been detained in connection with the case as tensions briefly rose in the neighborhood following the clash. Security forces were deployed in the area to maintain order while officials urged residents to remain calm and allow the investigation to proceed.
