In a sharp political attack ahead of the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, K. Annamalai accused DMK leader V. Senthil Balaji of orchestrating a controversial election strategy in Coimbatore. Addressing the media, Annamalai alleged that several independent candidates from Karur—Balaji’s political stronghold—were fielded strategically in the Coimbatore South constituency. According to him, this move was intended to influence voter perception and disrupt the electoral process in a key battleground seat.
The BJP leader further claimed that such tactics could create confusion among voters and undermine fair competition during the elections. He also criticized the ruling DMK, suggesting internal dissatisfaction within the party could impact Balaji’s prospects.
