A new free hostel facility has been inaugurated at the Chinchanimata temple area in Chikkodi, aiming to provide accommodation support for students, pilgrims, and economically disadvantaged people visiting the region. The initiative is expected to help rural families and devotees who travel long distances for education and religious purposes, offering them safe and affordable lodging options. Local leaders and community members welcomed the project, calling it a major step toward social welfare and inclusive development.
Speaking during the inauguration, organizers said the hostel would significantly reduce the financial burden on poor families and encourage students from remote villages to pursue education without worrying about accommodation expenses. The management committee assured that the facility would be maintained with proper hygiene, security, and basic amenities, and additional welfare programs are planned in the future to improve educational and social infrastructure in the Chikkodi region.
