The Karnataka Congress is set to begin work on a new Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) headquarters in Bengaluru as part of a major organizational expansion initiative. The foundation stone ceremony is expected to take place soon after Chief Minister-designate D.K. Shivakumar’s swearing-in, with senior Congress leaders including Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi likely to participate in the event. Party leaders say the proposed headquarters will serve as a modern administrative and coordination center for Congress activities across the state.
According to party officials, the project is part of a broader effort to strengthen Congress infrastructure and improve connectivity between district-level units and the state leadership. The event is also expected to attract party workers, elected representatives, and community leaders from across Karnataka. Congress leaders have indicated that the swearing-in ceremony and the KPCC Bhavan initiative symbolize a new phase in the party’s leadership structure following D.K. Shivakumar’s elevation to the top post in the state.
