Engineering powerhouse Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has announced a strategic joint venture with global AI leader NVIDIA to establish gigawatt-scale AI infrastructure across India, a move that marks a significant boost to the country’s ambitious digital agenda. The partnership aims to build advanced AI factories and high-density data centers powered by NVIDIA’s GPU technology and L&T’s engineering expertise, aligning with the government’s India AI Mission to accelerate domestic AI innovation and sovereign data capabilities.
Under this collaboration, state-of-the-art AI facilities will be developed in major hubs such as Chennai and Mumbai, with GPU clusters expanded to support next-generation AI workloads and high-performance computing needs.
